AmCham Montenegro representatives held a meeting with Mr. Alberto Cammarata and Mr. Romain Boitard at the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro. The aim of the meeting was to discuss specific issues related to AmCham’s advocacy initiatives and the position document prepared by AmCham’s Labor Relations Committee.

A significant topic for both sides was the compliance of Montenegrin Labor Legislation with the EU Acquis in this area. Likewise, the negotiations chapters and the process itself were discussed.

Both parties agreed that the economic aspect of EU integrations process is very important and that much has been done so far in complying with EU standards. Still, there are a number of issues that must be addressed in order to allow Montenegrin commerce to effectively compete in the European market. AmCham Montenegro and the Delegation of the EU will closely cooperate in contributing to the process.
