AmCham Thanksgiving Charity Cocktail: Donation to the Sport Equestrian Club “Buducnost”

In the spirit of Thanksgiving holiday, American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro hosted a Charity cocktail on Tuesday, December 10, at the Hotel Verde, Podgorica, and handed a donation of 10,000 euros to the Sports Equestrian Club “Buducnost”. The funds raised will be used to organize inclusive workshops and individual therapies for children with special needs.

AmCham Corporate Social Responsibility Committee this year has decided to donate funds to the Sports Equestrian Club “Budućnost”, which practices rehabilitation and education of people with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, development disorders, cerebral palsy and psychoemotional difficulties. The Club cooperates with the Resource Centers “1th June”from Podgorica and the Day Care Centers from Igalo, Cetinje, Pljevlja and Niksic. Therapies include activities under the supervision of a mental health professionals, with the support of a professional horse.

AmCham President, Mr. Nikola Tripković, expressed his gratitude to the AmCham members for their trust, acceptance and sharing the values which AmCham promotes in Montenegro. This year, the funds were donated by the following companies: Telenor, Podgoricka Bank, DHL, Karanovic and Partners, NLB Bank, Coca Cola, Regent Hotels, Uniqa Insurance, Addiko Bank, Butterfly Finance, Sava Insurance, Montenomaks, CKB, Erste Bank, Hoffmann La Roche, Crnogorski Telekom, MonteCredit, TeknoxGroup, Zapad Bank, MontenegroTransfers, Trend Corals, BDK Lawyers and Porto Montenegro.


Zoran Tomčić, Executive Director of the Equestrian Sports Club “Buducnost” said he is honoured that Club „Buducnost“ has been chosen for the donation.
-On the behalf of the Club, myself, and parents, I would like to express the gratiude for the significant funds that you have donated for the rehabilitation treatments for children with disabilities, said Tomčić.

The US Ambassador, H.E. Judy Rising Reinke, emphasized in her speech that this effort is another great example of how an active and engaged business community can make a positive difference, not just economically but socially. The Ambassador said that AmCham’s member donation expresses in the best possible way the spirit of Thanksgiving.
AmCham Montenegro is a business association, founded in 2008, which currently brings together 84 US, international and domestic companies in Montenegro. AmCham’s mission is to improve the business environment, in order to attract US and foreign investment.
