AmCham Tax Committee and Grey Economy Committee met with the representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Administration within the PBBE

November 27th, Podgorica – AmCham Tax Committee and Grey Economy Committee held the third meeting within the program Partnership for a Better Business Environment (PBBE) with the representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Administration. The objective of the meeting was the drafting of the bylaw which will organize the work of the Central Registry of Business Entities. Representative of the Ministry of Economy was Mr. Goran Nikolić, General Director of the Directorate for Industry and Entrepreneurship, the representatives of  Ministry of Finance were Ms. Antoaneta Krivokapić and Ms. Lela Ivanović, Senior Advisors in the Directorate for Tax and Customs System, and the representative of the Tax Administration was Ms. Dušanka Vujisić, the head of Central Registry of Business Entities.

It has been noted that the Grey Committee had a very constructive collaboration with the Ministry of Economy regarding the drafting of the Corporate Law. The Ministry of Finance is the competent authority for making the bylaw regarding the aforementioned law. Therefore, due to their shared competencies, the meeting was organized with everyone included in this subject. Attendees assessed that AmCham member companies should be involved in the work on the aforementioned legal act in order for the normative solutions to be clear, precise and applicable in practice which would significantly minimize existing business barriers formed due to unequal handlings by the Central Registry of Business Entities. The conclusion of this meeting is that timely inclusion and consulting of business environment by the decision makers is of crucial importance for the creation of the simulative business environment.
