AmCham Donated Internet Centers in Kolašin and Mojkovac

Thanksgiving is the time of the year when we show our gratitude for achieved successes and wish for a prosperous following year. AmCham Montenegro, with the support of the U.S. Embassy and member companies Adriatic Marinas – Porto Montenegro, Telenor Foundation, S&T Crna Gora and Čelebić, donated two fully equipped internet centers to northern municipalities Kolašin and Mojkovac. In this way, AmCham celebrated Thanksgiving Day and shared the tradition of giving back to the community.

AmCham President, Ms. Katarina Bulatović, stated that AmCham CSR initiatives aim to contribute to the personal and professional development of citizens  of Montenegro by creating opportunities for their education.  “The idea of the CSR activity is to enable internet access to as many citizens as possible and we believe this action will positively affect the digital literacy in both municipalities and their future development” stated Ms. Bulatović.

“American businesses have a tradition we call social responsibility, where private companies look for ways to give back to the communities in which they operate. American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro and its members are taking a leading role in establishing a tradition of social responsibility in Montenegro“, stated H.E. Margaret Uyehara, the U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro.

The total value of the donation is 5.760,00 €, comprising of 8 computers and the necessary office equipment. The internet centers are located within the cultural centers in both municipalities.

As for the Thanksgiving tradition, AmCham is thankful for our membership who passionately helps us in our endeavor in improving the business and social environment in Montenegro!

Happy Thanksgiving Day!
