AmCham Montenegro hosted a business luncheon where the guest speaker Minister of Finance of Montenegro, Mr. Radoje Žugić, introduced AmCham members to current fiscal reforms and measures that the ministry is applying in order to reach fiscal consolidation. Mr. Zugic also emphasized the Ministry of Finance’s determination in dealing with the grey economy and removing business barriers. He expressed transparency and inclusion in working with the private sector for improving the business environment as well as attracting foreign investments to Montenegro.

Some of the recent issues such as changes to the VAT rate, customs charges, online registration of businesses and economic citizenship were discussed in the question and answer session with the Minister.

AmCham President Svetlana Vuksanovic and Executive Director Edin Seferovic also took the opportunity to present the current status with AmCham’s advocacy initiatives in the areas of labor relations, real estate regulations/procedures, and taxation.
