December Business Luncheon Features H.E. Leopold Maurer, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro

Ambassador Leopold Maurer of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro was our Honorary Guest and Keynote Speaker at AmCham’s December Business Luncheon. Ambassador Maurer addressed AmCham members and guests about the benefits of the EU integration process and what it will mean for the private sector in Montenegro. His speech was followed by a question and answer period, where lunch attendees asked inquired about when Montenegro could expect to be admitted into the EU and what role AmCham could play in helping with Montenegro’s further integration into the EU. Ambassador Maurer responded by stating that Montenegro’s acceptance into the EU could be achieved as soon as 2014. He also mentioned that AmCham could assist Montenegro’s EU integration process by identifying business barriers and providing suggestions and support for removing such barriers.
