AmCham Advocacy

AmCham Montenegro advocates for changing laws and regulations that cause unequal market access or otherwise impede commerce by lobbying the Government, Ministries, the Parliament of Montenegro and other relevant institutions. Permanent and ongoing cooperation with these institutions are set in order to achieve these goals.

AmCham's advocacy work is organized through different committees. They can be organized as permanent or as ad-hoc committees that would handle specific topics. AmCham one active committee and one active task force:

  • Intellectual Property Rights Committee
  • Public Policy and Communication Task Force

Some ad-hoc initiatives that will likely develop into strong committees are: Tax, Legal, Environmental Committee, etc.

Any AmCham member may propose establishing a new committee by submitting to the Board of Governors a detailed written concept of the committee, backed by at least five AmCham members willing to participate in its work. Such a proposal should be made in writing, addressing the Executive Director.
