AmCham Advocacy

AmCham Montenegro advocates for changing laws and regulations that cause unequal market access or otherwise impede commerce by lobbying the Government, Ministries, the Parliament of Montenegro and other relevant institutions. Permanent and ongoing cooperation with these institutions are set in order to achieve these goals.

AmCham’s advocacy work is organized through its committees and task forces. These groups are established as  either permanent working groups or as ad-hoc committees that handle specific topics. AmCham currently has one active committee and two active task forces:

  • Intellectual Property Rights Committee
  • Business Challenges Task Force
  • Real Estate Task Force

Any AmCham member may propose establishing a new committee by submitting a request to the Board of Governors with a detailed written concept of the committee, backed by at least five AmCham members willing to participate in its work. Such a proposal shall be made in writing, addressing the Executive Director.
