The Tax Committee is established to promote the improvement of tax regulations in Montenegro. The Committee actively advocates for fair enforcement of tax laws and efficient reporting mechanisms with the Ministry of Finance and Tax Authority of Montenegro.
The Tax Committee renders advice, in coordination with international organizations and other business groups, on legislation relevant to improving the tax code of Montenegro. Likewise, one of the goals of this Committee is to educate AmCham members and relevant authorities and institutions in order to improve understanding of the tax regulations, as well as to raise awareness amongst appropriate stakeholders about the importance of improved tax regulations in Montenegro.
This Committee cooperates with regional organizations and international organizations to inform them on the current status of tax legislation in Montenegro and actively addresses any proposed tax measures or amendments to the tax code that are seen to be detrimental to commercial activity in Montenegro.
