The American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro (AmCham Montenegro) is an independent private business association. AmCham Montenegro is financed strictly from private sector contributions (membership dues and service fees) to cover its operating expenses. AmCham is governed by the Board of Governors (elected by the General Assembly) and the Executive Director (hired by the Board).
In addition to promoting investment opportunities in Montenegro, AmCham Montenegro has worked with the Montenegrin government, NGOs, other business associations, international organizations, and diplomatic missions to help improve the business environment for investors.
AmCham Montenegro supports the acceleration of Montenegro’s integration with the European Union and entry into the World Trade Organization. We promote “good corporate citizenship” and best business practices. Serving as an information point, AmCham Montenegro regularly organizes business-oriented activities to facilitate interaction between American and local companies.
