AmCham Interns Learned about ”Strategies, finances and marketing: logical connection’’

AmCham Montenegro in cooperation with the consulting firm Fidelity Consulting, organized a workshop ”Strategies, finances and marketing: logical connection’’ for participants of AmCham Internship Program.  The workshop was conducted by Fidelity Consulting’s Executive Director, Mr. Miloš Vuković.

The aim of this workshop was to show students, especially those studying in the field of economics, how to apply what they have learned during their studies in practice. The main focus was on the marketing strategies and how to attract potential customers. Mr. Vukovic stressed the importance of understanding emotions of the customers as essential for any business aspiring to succeed on the market. He argued that human beings are mostly led by their feelings. Hence, they will show greater interest in a product or service which ‘speaks to them’.

Apart from the discussion regarding marketing strategies, the workshop also focused on the idea of ethics and emotions within the science of economics and whether these can interact with each other. In order to introduce the students to this idea, Mr. Vuković made references to some of the most respected economists such as Adam Smith and Nobel Prize winners in the field of economics.

This way, the students got an opportunity to hear about the experiences of a professional in this field, and understand how the concepts they learn about at universities are realized in practice. The students engaged throughout the workshop and showed great interest in this topic.

AmCham Internship Program is a comprehensive three – month experience for nearly graduates, during which they can get an insight into the business world, make their first business contacts and reevaluate their professional ambitions.
