Seminar on Trademarks Protection

The IPR Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro conducted a seminar on Thursday, March 3, 2011 titled, “Protecting Trademarks in Montenegro”. The seminar was organized to demonstrate worldwide and regional practices in the field of trademarks protection and their application in Montenegro.

In December of last year, a brand new law governing trademarks took effect in order to help improve intellectual property rights in Montenegro.

The audience at the seminar included officials from government agencies that are responsible for protecting intellectual property, patents, and trademarks. Also attending were AmCham member companies and others concerned with protecting their brand identity.

Presenting at the seminar were both local and regional representatives from Karanovic & Nikolic Law Office and SD Petosevic.
